Professional Experience
Matthew graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts in 2021 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia the same year.
Before joining Culshaw Miller Lawyers in 2022, Matthew worked as a law clerk and then as a law graduate, for a full-service law firm in Perth. Here, Matthew gained a wide breadth of knowledge in the practise of commercial law, estates and family law. Matthew also gained valuable experience working under a leading Western Australian estates litigation practitioner.
Matthew works with our Wills and Estates, and Commercial Team. He has a particular interest in contested wills and estate litigation, including Family Provision Act claims. Matthew has assisted clients in complex probate applications and has acted for both executors and beneficiaries in estate administrations. Matthew’s experience in many areas of the law means he is able to adapt a unique holistic strategy to achieve optimal outcomes for his clients, whether it be providing estate planning and succession advice, or complicated litigious matters.
Matthew prides himself on his empathetic and approachable nature, whilst ensuring his clients are offered an effective legal solution tailored to their matter.
Matthew is a Committee Member of the Law Society of Western Australia’s Young Lawyers Committee and has the pleasure of mentoring law students in his spare time.
